Junior Industrialization Engineer H/F

The world leader in the design and production of high-tech batteries, Saft (4300 employees worldwide, including 1450 in France spread over 4 sites), has been part of the Total group since 2016. Saft works with a network of global partners and their batteries power equipment in a wide range of sectors, from aerospace and rail to energy and electronics.

Since 2018, Saft has been leading a European alliance to develop the solid-state battery of the future, which means a significant investment in R&D. Well underway, this project needs more Junior Industrialization Engineers who are passionate about working on developing the technology of tomorrow.

To support their growth and development, Saft is recruiting Junior Industrialization Engineers, based in Nersac (16) near Angoulême or in Bordeaux (33).

Under the Industrialization division, your tasks will be to:

  • Benchmark international industrial solutions in Li-ion production to ensure that Saft is always at the forefront of innovation and identify future processes and equipment
  • Write the equipment’s technical specifications in line with the products input data which will be issued by the technical division
  • Identify the Products/Processes/Industrial major risks, and conduct the necessary tests to remove those risks with the suppliers
  • Study the international suppliers’ proposals and challenge them
  • Make the temporary and definitive devices’ receptions
  • Be the responsible for the devices’ realization, their commissioning and their acceptance in compliance with safety regulations, costs, quality and deadlines.

Required profile:
You have at least 5 years of experience on a similar position in the field of large series industrial equipment (automobile, medical…).
Ideally, you know the batteries’ manufacturing processes and/or have acquired experience in the design of devices for large series production (electronics, microelectronics…).
You are an expert in one of the next fields: chemical processes, mechanical assembly, electrical training…

You have a strong appetence for the study of new processes.

In addition to your technical skills, you also demonstrate a strong analysis spirit and adaptability to change, good anticipation skills, a good sense of organization and customer service, a spirit of initiative and a results-oriented approach.

Due to the international environment of the project, travels are to be expected and English proficiency is essential.
